Weather preventing natural dyeing work and loss of internet

Its now February and its still raining, property outside flooded ,workshop unusable and until today hardly any internet service.

Still too slow to upload pictures.

So busy knitting and felt making with what I have in stock.

Working on new designs for my British Sheep Breed wools so watch the ETSY SHOP and here.

Have garments and wools for sale but short on naturally dyed wools.

IMG_0413IMG_0420moDULAR COATIMG_0422This is a new coat made from Noro silk garden a mix of cashmere, silk and kid mohair,  a new design, using modular techniques, have yet to write pattern down fully so it is completely original at moment and colour scheme cant be repeated anyway as all hand dyed.

Woolly Weekend and the British Wool MarketingCampaign for wool

Well a very busy weekend spinning and selling my products at Kelly House in aid of Childrens Hospice S.W.

Do look at Kelly House facebook site as lots of photos of the work there which was very varied.

The weather did not let us done in the end, only rained when we were packing up..

It the start of British wool week and there are knit ins and spin ins around the country.

This week there is an exhibtion at Peter Tavy Spinners.

Also a new spinning group starting at Alturnun Cornwall, email me for the details.

Working towards Woolly Weekend at Kelly House

After a busy time at the Embroiderers Guild exhibition, now getting ready for Woolly Weekend, which celebrates all things wool,

Skeining up naturally dyed wool etc and preparing sample boards about spinning and dyeing.

Have garments and hats to complete.

Natural dyeing

Have spent the week collecting dahlia heads and adding to dyebath, lovely yellows, golds and rust colours obtained.Thinking about what to prepare for Wooley Weekend  12/13 October at Kelly House Lifton Devon.

Have promised display boards on sheep breeds and wools, plus natural dyeing, why not pay a visit

Setting up Tavistock exhibition

well a very busy day collecting tables, display boards and then receiving exhibits and arranging.

All traders arrived and now all we need is visitors tomorrow.

Tavistock and District Embroiderers Exhibition 30th/31st August

This exhibition with traders is at the Guide Hall, Canal Road, Tavistock  Devon near the main carpark

It is celebrating 31 years of the branch and I am its secretary

I shall be exhibiting here. as well as selling my naturally dyed threads, fabrics and wools
